This book is BORING ! There are endless after endless conversations that are supposed to be funny but aren't; and the author has this annoying tendency to go off on tangents -in the middle of a conversation, no less- about people we never get to meet and whose stories do not do a thing to advance the plot. I thought that sitting through the movie version of this book was excrutiating, but that's nothing compared to actually reading the book! Gave up about halfway through...
