This was a fun book to play with and enjoy! Many a chuckle as I considered uses in an upcoming Scout training with a theme of "Be the Hero." I appreciate you sharing, ThanksMom!

There's good news and there's bad news, and it's the SAME news! The book went off in the mail today. That's good because, well, it's off in the mail today to its next reader. That's bad because, in my hurry to wrap the book up and get it out in this week's post office run, I did not journal until now... and I forgot that ThanksMom wanted us to share our scores. I'm sorry! I wish I had written them down! I hope the rest of your ray manages to share...

Thanks again!

I started laughing when I read on the back cover "SHOULD I BUY a secret headquarters OR JUST RENT?"

That's the tone of the book in a nutshell. It's a guidebook designed for the new superhero from origination story to what kind (not to mention how many) superpowers, costume, etc.

Lots of fun.

Will be mailing in a few days.

This cracked me up! The author has a great sense of humor. I was having a really good time keeping track of my scores. Ready? This is me:

Drum roll, please! I'm the Blonde Avenger, Awe-Inspiring Crusader of All That Is Good!

My Superhero Aptitude Test score is 53, so I'd make a good addition to any superhero team.

I'm an Outwitting Swashbuckler hero-type, which also makes me a good superhero team member.

Crusader power level, with 3 superpowers (magus, energy projection/manipulation, and crimefighting).

My supersuit's style is right on the cusp of sporty and trendy.

And I'm officially NOT evil! Almost having impure thoughts about lunch meat was a very near thing, though. I just feel obligated to get those math questions right no matter what they're there for!

The quest to find a secret HQ has been tough -- it might be best to settle on an archenemy before deciding on a location. Normally I'd be drawn to a deep forest area, but there have been signs of evil clones running around in D.C. I may be leaning towards Washington! Feel free to join me, Super Companions -- there may be plenty of fiends to go around! ;P

Thanks for including me in this ring -- I really enjoyed this book! Sorry I've held on to it for so long, but it's heading out to elinell this morning!

This book arrived last week while I was out of town - can't wait to read it!

Journal Entry 15 by silverstarry from Berkeley, California USA on Thursday, January 05, 2006

What a fun little book! I had such a good time reading this hilarious satire.

SAT score: 67 - You'll make a fine addition to any of our more prominent super teams

Superhero name: Fiery Angel, Cranky Warlord of Literacy

Style: Modern/trendy
Now this was a surprise. I was sure I'd fall under Sporty: If your friends and teammates often describe your wardrobe as "exciting," "vivacious," and "slutty," then there's little doubt that you're a Sporty.

Evil Quotient: 61 - You are a cruel blight upon this world

Hee, I've always lamented, "If only my powers could be used for good instead of evil," so now I have proof that it wasn't just my imagination!

Thanks so much to ThanksMom for sharing this fun book!

What a fun book. I really enjoyed all those test, reminded me of the YM! magazine test's from high school. (You know, things like "Is it more than a crush?") Anyhoo, here are my results.

My SAT Score - 63 I'd make a fine addition to any more prominent super-teams

I'm a Crusader superhero type (Flight, Psionic, Energy Projection/Manipulation)

My superhero name is Fiery Angel, Supreme Protector of Truth

My superhero style is Sporty.

My superhero type is OTSW - Outwitting Swashbuckling

And apparently I'm a "cruel blight upon this world"

I have dodau's address and will be mailing this on the weekend.

Thanks ThanksMom for sharing, and for helping me discover the evil in me ;-)
