An Angel at My Table Book Ray

Beautiful edition which I picked up at a sale with Netstation in mind, because he likes autobiographies. They are not my thing, as a rule, but I've heard good things about this lot.

I remember seeing the books that make up this autobiography when we visited my brother-in-law in New Zealand many, too many!, years ago. In fact I'm pretty sure my dh read them whilst we were there.
Looking forward to reading them myself, thanks semioticghost.

The autobiography continues into her student years and beyond, when she was incarcerated in mental hospitals. The horrors, frustrations and overwhelming injustices that she and others suffer will make you cry or rant or both!
Her writing style continues in a beautifully poetic way despite the experiences she describes.
On its way to Netstation.

Thanks ziggy, and semioticghost. I do enjoy autobiographies, more so those by people who are not 'celebrities' but have something interesting to relate. I'll get to this after the Bookring book I'm part way through now and the first part of this trilogy.
