Well the Amazon review which called it an entrancing story is right! I loved it all, the characters, the plot and, perhaps especially, the setting. Christobel Kent manages to bring the city alive.

We spent a week's holiday in Florence some years ago in an apartment near the Ponte Vecchio so it all came flooding back. The front door of the building we stayed in was opposite the back door to the police station!

I hope future readers enjoy the book as much as I have; it was one of those I was sorry to finish. I must search out some more from this author.

It will be on its way to JDT in the next few days as part of a relay.
