one of my favourite books of all time. i (try to) make all my girlfriends read it. in fact, i'm getting my copy back tonight. i'd forgotten that i'd lent it out. again.

and it's not a "guilty pleasure." it's awesome. i'd like to throw it at all the "chick-lit" authors clogging the shelves with their pedestrian and feeble attempts at recreating this classic work.
