For Kinsey Millhone, the investigation started with a surprise visit from an ex-colleague California Fidelity - the company that had fired her nine months previously.
Five hours later she was on a plane to Mexico, hot on the trail of a suicide who'd allegedly just come back to life. After a five-year wait, Wendell Jaffe's widow had finally succeeded in having the real estate swindler declared dead, collecting half a million dollars for her pains. Now it looks more like a 'psudocide' - and Kinsey's ready to risk everything to get to the truth.
TBR pile.

I've had a bunch of these alphabet books sitting on my bookshelf for years now. I never seem to get around to reading them. It's best to let them travel.
Picked up from tonight's BC meetup at Café Runo, Tampere, Finland. Will see if I have any better luck with reading this :-) I've read a couple of Kinsey Millhones way, way back so I pretty much know what to expect—TBR on a rainy day.

This proved a good beach read today. Pretty much everything about it is solid and flawless as detective stories go; plus I read with a keen eye for Jewish and Mexican stereotypes that peppered the story with an added interest throughout. I wasn't really expecting Grafton to lapse into anything, and she didn't--
So yeah, I enjoyed this and I think I might just as well read a couple more Kinsey Millhones while I'm at it :-)
To be released somewhere, someplace...

The book can be found on the book desk in the lobby, along with maybe some other bookcrossing books. Happy reading!
