The Master and the Margarita

This book is a satire on Russian culture and politics, a cross between magical realism and historical speculation. It combines two very different storylines and is very fun for the imaginative reader. the story is very dense, and sometimes quite confusing, but it did keep me intrigued enough to keep picking up from time to time. I learned alot from this book about the formation of satire and the Russian sense of humor, and why it is so very necessary in an oppresive environment, I alos learned about to combine two different storylines, which could come in handy. The story has made me want to find more Bulgakov and other more obscure Russian writers in the future. I hope that the next reader has as much fun as I did.
Started this book today...it looks really interesting, and I'm excited about it.
