Driving Mr. Albert: A Trip Across America with Einstein's Brain
7 journalers for this copy...
It appears to me that the ISBN on the back of the book doesn't match the one inside the book.
My husband recently read this book and thought that I'd like it. I'm tossing it onto Mt. TBR in the meantime!
Oops! Over ten years have gone by since I acquired this book. :D That Border's in Silver Spring no longer exists!

This is an interesting travelogue including a young man somewhat aimless in life, an 80-year-old whose life was altered by the brain he couldn't relinquish possession of, and, silent in the truck but heavy in his presence, Albert Einstein, or rather, his brain in little pieces in a tupperware container.
This is definitely one weird trip I would not take. In all honesty, the drive itself was rather unremarkable. The author has, however, peppered the trip with interesting tidbits of Einstein's life, a brief introduction of relativity, as well as reflections on American culture. His wry observations do not put anybody in a favorable light, but capture each character in an authentic, lively hologram.
