With many thanks to the British & International Sailor's Society Charity Shop in North Camp, Farnborough, who made this registration & release possible.
This has featured on so many BCUKers Top 10 reads of 2004 lists that I feel obliged to give it a read myself before I release it ...
This was superb and I´ve no idea how it came to sit on Mt TBR for quite so long.
It´s the tale of a battered and unloved wife, but manages not to be depressing. Very good indeed & I´d highly recommend it.

I passed this onto a WWoOFer* who was staying with us last month & he´s taken it with him to pass on as he hadn´t quite finnished it.
His comments (as I´m not sure he´ll have net access to journal himself) were that it was pretty similar to Roddy Doyle´s other work. Can´t comment on that myself, as this is the only one I´ve read so far!
* WWoOF = Worldwide Opportunities / Willing Workers on Organic Farms. If you fancy coming to stay with us on our start up farm in the Portugugese mountains, just drop me a PM.
