I truly enjoyed participating in the cat journal. Had a little trouble with my photo editing software so it took a bit of time to adjust to another program. Nevertheless, I was able to make my entry and mailed it out this morning (2/1/05) to the next person on the list, icekween01.

Thanks again aliaskris29 for starting this journal!

Í'm so sorry...I've been absolutely terrible with journaling stuff lately.

I got this book a couple of days ago...I haven't even had time to look at it. I'm planning of getting pictures printed of my deceased cat and writing up the poem I wrote on her death for the book. But I've been swamped with school work...give me about a week. If I dont do anything within a week, I'll just pass it along to the next person and request my name to be added to the end of the line - so I dont hold up the bookring.

Sorry again.

The journal has landed safely in Wales. I've had a quick look through and will take time to peruse it thoroughly very soon. No doubt the three rulers of my roost will advise me about my entry and help me choose pictures!

Journal Entry 12 by jalna from Wrexham, Wales United Kingdom on Wednesday, May 11, 2005
I am so ashamed of myself for holding on to this journal for so long. When I first received it I couldn't conceive why anyone should need to be encouraged to pass it on within a month and I was horrified to find that I had had it for a whole month myself. I really must stop letting Real Life interfere with my BookCrossing activities! But I will be passing it on as soon as I have an address from the next person.

I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of other BCers' cats and reading their stories. Guya and Cleo and Misty's babies are all particularly gorgeous.

So many of my pictures of my cats are not scanned into the computer yet and I can't do that right now, so I have just included the photos of the three gorgeous girls who live with me now and I think they are fairly representative of these particular cats and of cats in general!

I have also mentioned some cat books which I have loved and would recommend to every other cat lover. Also popped in some yellow sheets or stuff which may be familiar to some but hopefully not to everyone and which should raise a few smiles anyway.

Enjoy!

(PS Journal entry pic shows the late Rogan Josh, father of Fang.)

Recieved this morning. I love all the photos and stories. Will add to it this weekend and mail on next week.
I have to own up and say I have held this up. I meant to send it on a month ago but one thing led to another and it has sat by the computer for all that time. Now to cap it all i have lost libertine101's address. But I'm pming her again now and will post it as soon as I get it. Sorry all.

Journal Entry 19 by goodthinkingmax from Sydney CBD, New South Wales Australia on Friday, September 9, 2005
Received today by Max and 99. Our human will convey our thoughts (and pics) and mischief very soon in this lovely journal.

Journal Entry 20 by goodthinkingmax from Sydney CBD, New South Wales Australia on Sunday, October 2, 2005
It was enjoyable recording a few thoughts in the journal and reading the amusing and also sad writings in the other entries. I wrote in it the day I dragged both cats off to the vet for their annual shots. What an ordeal with the insertion into the cat carriers, the incessant miaowing in the car and the sudden torrential rain. Of course they were perfectly cooperative for the vet. Only one moment of shame when the vet gave Max worming gel for DOGS because he is too big for the cat one. How embarrassing!

I'll pop a cute pic of 99 into this journal entry. I've told her not to read at the table.

Will post this off to Gilli asap.

R.I.P. Don Adams! Max has his little black pawband on.

Journal Entry 21 by goodthinkingmax from Sydney CBD, New South Wales Australia on Friday, October 14, 2005
Unable to contact Gilli :-( so sending this off to titihood as soon as I have the address.

Journal Entry 22 by titihood on Monday, October 31, 2005
Wow, received this great cat journal today with a little surprise from goodthinkingmax.
I have already read all the lovely entries and gazed lovingly at all the gorgeous cats. Now I just have to find some pics of Mr. Morpheus and write my own thoughts. Thanks for this aliaskris29 :)

Nov 7th 2005: Got to have a photo copied to put in here - is the only one I have so am making another one! :) Will be ready to send out as soon as developer has done their job. This lovely journal says a lot about what cats mean to people, why we love them so much ad how attached to them we get.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Sending off today to fellow bookcrosser from Amhurst, NY.

Journal Entry 27 by Bibliocrates from Pueblo, Colorado USA on Thursday, July 20, 2006
This journal is now safe in my hands, although I am not the fellow bookcrosser in Amhurst, NY. I will make my journal entry very soon and pass it along as soon as possible.

Pictured here is Maxamillion. He is about 4 1/2 years old and likes to ride around in the golf cart with dad and the boys. It's really cute!

Update: Maximilian died on June 18, 2008 of FIV, Feline Immunodefiency Virus. He was very ill so we had him put down, euthenasia.

Journal Entry 28 by Bibliocrates from Pueblo, Colorado USA on Tuesday, August 1, 2006
Pictured here is Mr. Kiara. He is about 2 1/2 years old. There is a funny story about why he has a girl's name in the journal. The short version of the story is that we thought he was a girl, hence the name, and then when we found out he was a boy we just added 'Mr.' to it. He already knew his name so we didn't want to change it. Anyway, now that I have current pictures of my cats I will make my journal entry and pass it along ASAP. I really enjoyed the stories and the pictures of all the adorable cats. Thank you aliaskris29 for allowing me to participate. Doing this brought back some good memories.

Update: Mr. Kiara has FIV as well, but is alive and well, thank goodness.

Journal Entry 30 by MandaJo from Plymouth, Minnesota USA on Wednesday, August 23, 2006
This arrived in the mail yesterday... how adorable! I love all the pictures. This should motivate me to get some cute pictures of my kitties. I'll start on this very soon!

Journal Entry 31 by MandaJo from Plymouth, Minnesota USA on Friday, October 20, 2006
I am absolutely mortified by how long it is taking me to get caught up with all my bookcrossing after the move. Huge apologies to everyone who is waiting for this journal to travel! I will PM for an address this morning and hopefully be able to send it out early next week. Thanks for your patience!!

Journal Entry 32 by alkaline-kiwi from Auckland, Auckland Province New Zealand on Friday, June 15, 2007
When I saw there was a package waiting for me on the table after work yesterday I wondered who it was from.

I got a nice surprise to find it was this bookring journal.

I've flicked through it and will read the other entries before adding my own of my two cats Spook and Cola. Cola's going to a checkup at the vet on Monday so that might make an interesting story for the book, just hope he behaves.

Journal Entry 33 by alkaline-kiwi from Auckland, Auckland Province New Zealand on Thursday, July 19, 2007
eeep I still have't read or added my cats' stories to this journal yet, I'm so slack!

I will read it asap and print out some photos and write up some stuff about Cola and Spook.

Sorry all!

Journal Entry 34 by alkaline-kiwi from Auckland, Auckland Province New Zealand on Tuesday, July 24, 2007
I had a lot of fun reading this and it made me so happy reading about how important cats are to people. I've had cats in my life from when I was born (my family had a ginger and white cat called Mork before I was born) and they are very important to me.

Thanks everyone for sharing their cat stories and pictures.

Other people (my family and workmates) who have seen this journal think its adorable. Kitty love all around!

I still need to get some photos printed for my own entries in the journal so will get on to that over the next week, then will PM aliaskris29 for further instructions.
