From JaneJensen.com:
The first in the "Gabriel Knight" series of gothic mysteries. Written by the creator of the interactive version of the series, Jane Jensen.

In this inaugural story, Gabriel Knight is an unsuccessful hack author and owner of a run-down used book store in New Orleans. He begins investigating a series of 'Voodoo Murders' that are racking the city, hoping for material for a new horror novel. As he and his NOPD friend, Detective Mosely, and his assistant, the sharp-tongued Grace, get further into the details of the crimes, Gabriel realizes that he has a personal connection to the murders which is truly terrifying.

Suffused with voodoo culture and New Orleans atmosphere, "Sins of the Fathers" is a tense thriller that will keep you guessing.

"Sins of the Fathers" debuted as an adventure game from Sierra On-Line in 1993. The game achieved a cult-like following, particularly for its storyline and quirky characters. The series continued in the computer game arena in '95 with "The Beast Within" and in '99 with "Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned."

In 1994, Jane wrote the novel version of "Sins of the Fathers", hoping to take the mystery series to a new audience of book lovers like herself. She has also written the novel version of "The Beast Within."
