From the back of the book:

"Rebecca York delivers page-turning suspense."
-Nora Roberts

In the woods, a killer waits,
surrounded by the graves of his victims,
anticipating his next kill.
In the woods, a wolf stalks its prey,
surrendering only to the laws of nature, not of man...

Private investigator Ross Marshall has a special talent for tracking -- a talent that has helped
him locate missing persons when the police's trail has gone cold. Now his current case has led
him to a body buried in an isolated rural area -- and a serial killer who is looking for a new
victim. But while gathering evidence for the police, something goes very wrong...

The last thing genetic researcher Megan Sheridan expected was to discover her client shot and
unconscious. Ross Marshall had requested her lab to run genetic tests on him, but instead of
taking a blood sample, Megan found herself tending his wounds. Although frightened by the secrets
she knows he is hiding, Megan is compelled to him by a force she can't explain -- or resist. Ross
tries to deny the ancient instincts clamoring for him to take Megan as his mate, for to do so
would sentence her to a lifetime of sorrow. But now Ross has an even more urgent reason to stay
away from Megan: The killer that he'd been hunting has turned the tables -- and is now hunting him...

I've been looking forward to reading more from Rebecca York after reading her short story Burning Moon in the Cravings anthology. Thanks for offering this up as a bookray, darkangll. I'll be starting on this in the next few days.

This was a great book! There was plenty of mystery going on to keep you wondering right up until the very end of the book, and multiple plotlines to hold your interest. Of course, the fact that one of the main characters was a werewolf weighs heavily in its favor in my book anyway since I love books with vampires, werewolves, necromancers, and other supernatural creatures.

Now I'm really looking forward to reading the other 2 books in this trilogy, Edge of the Moon and Witching Moon. Too bad Darkangll doesn't have them listed on her shelf. I'll have to scout them down elsewhere. Of course, I'm willing to share with any of the other participants of this ray who liked this book as much as me. :)

Will mail this out to Kyrissaean in NH as soon as I get her address. (Forgot to request it until I was actually done.)

I liked this book! I gobbled this up in just a couple days! The characters were fun and had good chemistry, and the story was nicely paced, without any slow sections. The genetic research angle was a great idea for a paranormal romance like this one, and now I wonder why I haven't seen something like that before! The werewolf concept in this story really works, and I'd be interested in checking out the rest of the series.

I'd never read any of Rebecca York's books, although both that name and her real name, Ruth Glick, ring lots of bells. It's always good to find a new author!

I've PMed nokturnalmuse for her address, so this is ready to head out soon!

I'm about 1/3 through this book and can't get into it. I found the storyline very slow-moving and dull. I'm going to save myself and everyone else on the list time and pass it on. I have too many other books sitting in my TBR queue (and more on the way!) to bother with this one. I just finished reading the first 3 Kelley Armstrong books and these are much more exciting reads for anyone interested in werewolf and paranormal stories. The first 2 books in the series focus on a female werewolf and the 3rd & 4th books focus on a female witch. You might want to check them out if you haven't already.

Received today and I began reading immediately at work. This is not something that I normally read and some of the story line did bother me a bit, like the non protection dispite the risks both were taking. (I don't want to be too specific b/c of spoilers) However I thought the story was good and I am definitely going to be on the lookout for the other two books in the series. Thanks!
