So, I perused this book, and really - I didn't find much that I felt applied to me. I actually manage my money quite well. I have a decent savings, a bit stored away in 401(k), and I have what experts suggest - the 6 months cushion, if something happened, I could live just like I am for about 6 months.
Anyway, even though this book is a bit outdated (1994), I think it still has a lot of good info, just info I already had (I had a good mom, who encouraged me to save, and learn about credit and such -- and I have a husband who while not quite a financial wiz, he does know his stuff) -- so, I will be setting this free to help someone else.

I used my barely there creativity to alter pages 94&95...with the thought that money DOES grow on trees. Considering this is my first try an an alteration, I am okay with it. I will be mailing off to Llednyl soon!!
Got in the mail today - looks like it's arts and crafts time!
Just finished my alterations on pages 134-135. Thought I'd do something about balancing home and work life. Will send off to NMReader once I get her address!

I was a little stratled when I opened the envelope and saw "The Smart Woman's Guide to Spending, Saving, and Manageing Money" - I couldn't remember signing up for this book and then thoguht maybe it was a RABCK. It wasn't until I took a look at the journal entries that I figured it out. Looking forward to seeing what others have done and to playing.

I got this yesterday and started doodling on a page as I watched TV last night. What a fun idea~ thanks for including me!
Affinity4books brought this to trivia night of Redoing the Charleston UnConvention 2008. This is the first altered book I've participated with; I did a little doodle. I also saw skyring doodling in it. Thanks for sharing!

This was a bit of a surprise, until I saw all the glorious artwork, then I knew that Yes, this book belongs with me for now. I will plan my pages and get cracking. This was a great idea. I love the fun stuff. Thanks innae for getting this one started. KK
I loved the variety of creativity that is going into this 'work of art in progress'. From the names to the word block outs to the collages. I love the balancing lady! And the quotes are wonderful. I hope each person that follows me can add a pic of their accomplishments into this journal. Or maybe when it's done we can send it around one more time to look at the finished product. This was fun. Thanks Innae.PS Uploaded my page here. These are all the homes that I've ever lived in and one future one. It's across from the chapter that starts HOME SWEET HOME. (Yes we moved that mobile home (40x80 not a camper!) 3 times. It cruised all the way from Texas to Ohio and then went back!!) Go online and look at all the pics, they are great!
