I didn't care much for the characters, and I found the story somewhat of a disappointment. That said, "Five Quarters of the Orange" is a feast for the senses. I thoroughly enjoyed Harris's style and at times couldn't put the book down. Her vivid description left me feeling as if I'd seen a film rather than read the book.

This book is reserved for release as part of the 2005 Eccentrics' Release Challenge.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Released as part of The Eccentrics' Release Challenge, hosted by lucybrown. My theme is the 2005 Rose Bowl and its winner. I chose my theme before the game ended, certain that the University of Michigan (yay!) would win. Texas won (boo!). So now I'm eating humble pie, out to release 12 books related to the Rose Bowl and/or UofT. I'm releasing this book, "Five Quarters of the Orange," in recognition of UofT's color orange. [Note: Click on the thumbnail for a larger view, and check out the two shady characters in the upper left corner! Looks like they're planning to steal a 10lb. bag of oranges. Oh wait. That's the store manager. Must be he's keeping a watchful eye on the crazy lady photographing a pile of oranges. LOL.]
