I love James Patterson's Alex Cross books. This one was great.

I have enjoyed other books by James Patterson and have decided to break down and start on the Alex Cross series.
Excellent thriller - this one keeps you guessing until the end and even brings in a little twist for the next book. The story centers on 2 serial killers/rapists - one in North Carolina, the other in California - who are feeding off each other and competing with each other. It is a creepy and shocking premise and Patterson uses it well. He employs the devices he's known for - short chapters, plenty of action and twists, psychopathic villains. Alex Cross has an additional investment in finding this killer - he's holding his niece.
