The book arrived yesterday (I didn't get it until I came home from out of town late last night). Thank you very much for sending it!

I'm currently living in a different state than my husband, while I work on my PhD. My husband has our cats (Merlin and Samwise), and I thought that I would be okay without them for a little while, though of course I would miss them very much. But it turned out not to be the case, I missed them way too much, so I adopted another cat - Guenevere. This summer, I'll be going back to stay with my husband and taking Guen with me, introducing her to Merlin and Sam for the first time. So I'll be reading this book before next month so that I can try to make this introduction/transition easier for all of us.

And I need to create a page for Guenevere. I plan to do it when I have free time this summer.

9 out of 10

Since I'll be introducing Guenevere to Sam and Merlin next month I had hoped that this book would provide some helpful advice. And it did. It made me very much aware of the importance of having a sanctuary room. And I realized that a problem that Sam and Merlin are having right now might be because Sam does not allow Merlin to have his own space. So we need to find a way to provide that space for Merlin.

I'm going to hold on to this book for another month or two in case I need to refer back to it during the introduction phase, but after that I'll send it off to another reader. :)

Thanks so much! I love all of Pam Johnson-Bennett's books, and can't wait to dig into this one (with Trouble's "help", of course).

10 out of 10

Pam Johnson-Bennet is a great writer and her understanding of what cats need most is way beyond the scope of most behaviorists. I plan to take her suggestions when I someday add a second cat to my one-kitty household, and already some of her suggestions (such as using a large rubbermaid tub for a litterbox) have made Trouble much more content. 4 paws up!
