7 out of 10

I've heard a lot about this, and it was an enjoyable read but not overwhelmingly great. There were some very interesting insights and observations on the lives of women in the time period.

What a good book! Circumstances made me take about 2 years to read it, but I've gotten through it and I'm glad I did. By the way, the circumstances were related to international travel and being parked in an unused suitcase for many months. The book itself is a real page-turner.

I hope I don't get branded a heretic here, but it kind of reminds me of the Gregory Maguire alternate-take approach. Very readable. I'll be offering this up to someone wishing for it for trade or just to get it moving.
