I have been wanting this book ever since I first saw it at Amazon.com. I am so excited that I got it for Christmas. I can't wait to finish the book I'm currently reading to start this on!

From the back:

William Shakespeare was father to three children: Susanna, his oldest, and twins Judith and Hamnet. This is Judith's tale...

In this wonderfully inventive novel, Grace Tiffany weaves fact with fiction to bring Judith Shakespeare to vibrant life. Through Judith's eyes, we glimpse the world of her famous playwright father: his works, his family, his inspiration.

After a dark family tragedy, Judith discovers a copy of her father's new play, which seems to make light of her grief. Outraged, she follows her father to London, intent on sabotaging the performance. But the city is a revelation to her, as is her father's world of the theater, and his new playhouse, The Globe. As Judith comes fully to understand the words her father has written and why he writes his plays, she discovers that the two of them share more than she could have possibly imagined...

What a great book!
Judith has the spunk that we all wish we had. One can completely understand her motivations and the author explains a lot of Shakepeare's motivations, making his plays all that more human
