Journal Entry 1 by laura9691 from Winter Park, Florida USA on Monday, January 31, 2005
When I first started reading this book I wasn't too sure if it was going to be any good. Then it picked up the pace really fast and turned out to be an awesome read. Cover: A sweltering heat wave hits a tiny village in southern Italy, sending the adults to seek shelter, while their children bicycle freely throughout the countryside, playing games and getting into trouble. On a dare, nine-year-old Michele Amitrano enters an old, abandoned farmhouse, where he stumbles upon a secret so terrible that he can't tell anybody. As the truth emerges, Michele learns that the horror in the creepy old house is closer to home than he ever imagined.

WOW!! Laura knows what I like!! This book was awesome. I read the whole entire thing in one sitting. 2 hrs of fast turning pages trying to find out what is going to happen next. I very much enjoyed this book. I personally would have slapped Skull upside the head a few times but Michele was a great character. I'm not going to go into detail, but I'm going to be looking for the movie next.
