First, a confession. I read this on audio. I've been wanting to get to this book for a long time after hearing lots of recommendations, but as has been the case for quite a while, Mt. TBR is just out of control. So when I saw an unabridged audio version at the library, I snatched it up. It was read by Brian Keeler, who did a most excellent job.
I loved this book. But it was beautifully sad. I was close to tears several times, and books don't do that to me all that often. I have to admit that the premise of this book -- that of a man aging in reverse -- seemed almost too surreal for me. If I can't logic something out, then I have trouble fully enjoying & appreciating a book. But the more I read, the more drawn in I was, and I just kept wondering how in the world this book was going to end. Was it going to be happy? Was it going to be sad? Was it going to be open-ended? Well, I can't really say without giving it away, and although it was somewhat unexpected, I think it fit. Regardless, this book will stay with me for a long time, as it really tapped into me emotionally.

Going into my Best of BC bookbox. If you haven't already read this, you should. It's a great one!
I'm pulling this book from the box. I actually already own it on audio, but my husband pulled the hard copy from the box and started reading it. I'll probably listen to it rather than read the hard copy as I've already started it, then will pass on this copy when my husband finishes it.
My husband has finished reading this. He enjoyed it, but didn't have much to say about it.
My comments will be here since I actually listened to the audio version rather than reading this hardcopy.

Love this book - probably the inspiration for Benjamin Button, the movie. Imagine growing younger in appearance! An engaging look at how our appearance alters our judgment about others and others about us. Wonderful read. I can't wait to finish it and drop it off in an airport and get this baby aloft!
