Got this from nut, thanks!
My mother really enjoyed this book on tape; the speaking voice was a good tone and tempo for her so she understood it easily (she is not a native English speaker). She also enjoed the story, though said she prefers the slightly lither side of Gaiman, such as Good Omens.
For myself, I didn't really get into the story. This may be because I listen to books on tape on the way to work, so I only get 20 minutes of it a day, and the stopping-and-starting doesn't suit this story I think. Also, I am not a big reader of fantasy and SF, other than Terry Pratchet. I may at a later stage try to read the book though.
