I found this litte book with 3 episodes of the classic british sitcom after a friend showed me his DVD (only the box :-(It contains the English script with German annotations (vocabulary in the footnotes) of the following episodes: The Germans, Communication Problems, Basil the Rat.
While reading this I had to laugh very often and now I want to share this funny book with others.

Absolutely hilarious! I mainly was reading the episodes while commuting to work and back home, with the other passengers eyeing me as I was constantly giggling or roaring with laughter... They probably thought I was totally nuts but who cares! I had such a blast!
Thanks a lot to Georg-und-Co for sharing this fantastic little book with us (and I'm afraid I really might have to buy me the complete Fawlty Towers for my pc sometime)

The book arrived today and I'm looking forward to reading it, as I really loved the show and especially the "Germans"-episode...

I've finished the book some days ago and I really enjoyed it. But sadly it is no comparison to the series, you just miss Cleese's mimcs and movements, especially when he does the "firefly-charade"...;-)

Oops, sent the booklet on it's way yesterday and forgot to write a new entry... Meeting Basil and Co again was a very diverting matter indeed! The unforgettable "Don't mention the war" story - achingly funny! (Even more though if you have the chance to watch the TV episodes on video or DVD.) How nice it would have been to find that sort of literature (which also provides some vocabulary in German) on my curriculum for English instead of being forced to read Macbeth. ;-)

Very funny, especially the first sketch. I would buy the DVD if I had more money ;).
Arrived today (the tbr-heap is growing ;-)
I really love the DVDs so i'm very excited in reading the book. (At the moment my DVDs reside at "Georg-und-Co" - after he complained that i only showed him the box he now has to view all episodes ;-)

Splendid!Well i am not sure how i would have rated this book without knowing the tv-series... but so i had every scene in my mind while reading and could not help laughing so many times. I've seen the episodes really often, but reading the script with it's remarks helped me to understand all the puns i did not noticed until now.
Really funny book! Thank's a lot to Georg-und-Co for sharing this excellent piece of british humor with us.
And never forget: "Don't mention the war" ;-)

Sieht ganz nach einer praktisch kleinen, amüsanten Lektüre aus - und das Regal ist eh' schon sehr voll.
