I just got it, thanks sterile! Books seem to arrive in large groups, so it might take me a bit to start reading this, but am looking forward to it. Thanks!

Am reading it right now, still not finished ( I really wanted to read this, it´s silly how long it took for me to have the freedom to pick this up), just making a note, it´s now reserved for mita1 who saw me reading it today and is interested on this book. Thanks Sterile!

It has taken me a while to get this read, maybe something of it screamed holidays and much too sad to read it without being on holidays. Or something!

I think I am shallow, I think I might have wanted to read this because of the cover and catchy title, great great cover. But totally agree with sterile, this could have been better, it had some interesting ingredients to the plot ( Yasmin being somewhat different than what was viewed by Maggie or Libby, Maggie´s childhood history) but it ended up a bit shallow. The Cuban scenes never felt more than a travel magazine article, the cubans seemed scenery to me rather than real characters. The ending was sacharine and felt just too unlikely. OK book but could have been better.

I am passing this along to mita1, who expressed an interest!

I'll get to this one soon - I've placed it in the Book Obsessed virtual Chick Lit/Contemporary Romance Book Box.

Overview:
After splitting up with her boyfriend, Maggie has moved to the other end of the country. The trouble is, starting over isn't easy. Working at Vixenz isn't something she can boast about, but at least the men aren't allowed to touch her. It doesn't help that she has no friends in Brighton. So the highlight of her day is the sound of the morning post being delivered, and reading replies to the letters she writes so compulsively. Then she accidentally discovers she can overhear everything in her neighbor's flat; and it becomes her own personal soap opera. Libby and David live next-door. Libby is finding full-time motherhood very difficult, even though baby Charlie is deliciously adorable. Just as she persuades David that she should return to work he announces that he's taking a sabbatical from his job. He's always longed to travel, and this is the ideal opportunity to spend six months in Cuba learning Spanish. Wouldn't it be fun to go as a family? The travel bug is very, very contagious. Cuba is such a fashionable destination. And Libby and David won't be going alone . . .

Creepy! This book starts out pretty slow but builds up pace and then turns into a creepy scary "single white female/fatal attraction" story. I liked the travel aspect of Cuba as well.

I'm sending this one on to Ramson. Enjoy!
