Good Lord, these get worse and worse, and yet I keep reading them. Is this my last Scarpetta? Completely disjointed story, little suspense. Sigh.

Sending this one out on a ray so that no one else has to spend the $$$$!

Although I admit I haven't enjoyed the recent Kay Scarpetta books, I did like this one. Kay seems more back to herself and I thought the story itself was well done.

I'm not sure quite what happened to Lucy over the years; she's gone from a teenager to some kind of commando and it's not a pretty sight.

On it's way to LadyShaye early next week.

Arrived this weekend, plan to start on it this week, takes me a bit longer than most but I will do my best!

That didn't take too long! I liked this book, I enjoy the characters. This one was a bit long and dragged out, but I still found it hard to put down. Contacting next on the list and will mail next week!

Received this last week but forgot to journal... sorry! Hopefully I'll be able to read a bit this weekend and send it on its way soon.

I can't comment on this one because I just couldn't get into it enough to finish it. I have read other Scarpetta books easily. I have kept it long enough and tried several times, but it's time to let this book continue its journey.
Off to Mysteryfan03 today.

Finally, I have been looking forward to this one. Thanks!

This was better than the last Kay Scarpetta novel, but still not as good as the others. The characters were acting strangly and while I could not put it down for the most part, the ending fell apart. There was really no conclusion and it just sort of ended as if the author got tired of writing and wanted to be done with the story. Perhaps she is getting tired of this series and it shows in her writing, perhaps something is going on in her life, but this book and the last one are very different from the rest of the series. This used to be one of my favorite series, I am not sure what happened to Kay and her family, but it is not a pretty sight! Thanks so much for sharing this book with us, grover3d!

This will be on its way soon.

recvd today - i had forgotten this was on its way

Journal Entry 11 by tchouli from Snellville, Georgia USA on Saturday, April 30, 2005
much better than the last scarpetta book. i still cannot stand lucy - at all. the why the story happened is a stretch but hey anything can happen in a book.

did not care much for henri and i wonder...

one thing - the book picked up from the where the last left off - but didn't. no discussion about benton and the lies that marino and lucy told kay. no questions etc - i would have liked some more loose ends tied up.

thanks for sending this out grover3d.

ps: i know several of the posts below mention that this series is not as good as it once was - but nothing in this series is as awful as "southern cross".

This poor bookray appears to have gotten lost in the post. Mailed out several months ago it still has not checked in with all the previous journalers.

The Lost Book Island would like to extend some resort hospitality to this book so that it may have a nice place to relax as it continues its travels far in wide in search of its intended destination. There are plenty of things to do here for all of the "lost" books. Perhaps sipping a cool drink in the shade will be the first choice, followed by some fun in the sandy sun with a frolic on the beach.

It is hoped that one day soon this book will be "found" and a new journal entry will come to tell all of the interested parties where this book has been all this time and when it might be moving again.
