I really liked this one. I think if you've known a person like Eddie, you can relate more to him. Some of the concepts are vague though, as though the writer was concentrating on being descriptive, but forgot what he was writing about. I'm not sure the five people were all that different from one another. It's easy to read and was an enjoyable couple of hours.

Thank you for starting this ring peacebird5. I will update with a journal entry when I am done.

Update-
I was really caught up in this book. I read it in two sittings and only put it down because I had to the first time. The beginning is particularly gripping, not only because of the storyline, but because of the style it was written. I was really interested in the story and how it was going to come out.

I find the topic of how random life can be to be intriguing to think about. This book seems to want to show that things that seem random are truly not.

Anyway, everytime I am reminded of this subject, I think of a local news story from a few years back. I live just north of Cincinnati. A high school student from my town, someone who I have never met, was downtown in Cinci for some big event, I can't remember which now. He was walking along with a group of friends and his older brother when car came and plowed into the group. The car was driven by a paraplegic man (someone who can't use their legs) who was goofing around driving because the friend he was with who owned the car was drunk and they decided the paraplegic man would drive instead. The idea seemed funny at the time, I guess. When the car hit the group, several were injured, some jumped out of the way, and one died. It was the high school boy. His brother was shown on the news shocked and disbelieving saying, "I tried to grab his jacket, but he just slipped out of my fingers." I hate to think of this news story, not only because a young man lost his life due to people acting foolish, but because I know that the brother has relived that moment countless times in his mind, willing his fingers to grab that jacket and pull his brother along with him to safety. I don't know how it ends when he relives it, if they two brothers rush over to help the injured,/ if he nervously smiles at him and jokes, "You owe me big, I saved your life"/ if everyone is thankful that he came away with only minor injuries/if they go home together to tell the story of how close it was to the family. Maybe he has ended it in his mind all these ways and more, but the thought of him replaying that moment, wishing it went down differently, breaks my heart. I hope he doesn't feel responsible, but I can't imagine going through life after living through a similiar situation everyday thinking, "If only..."

Sending on to Gidget2.

I thought this book was fascinating, I loved the concept. I did think it was a little sad overall, but still very enjoyable. I read it in two sittings, a very easy read. I will probably send it to Chambejd in the next day or two.
Thanks for sharing.

I finished this book up last night. It was a quick read, but I really didn't enjoy it as much as I had expected to. I had heard a lot of great things about this book, but I just didn't see what the big deal was all about. Thanks for letting me read it. It will be sent out to booksnbeer.

Just received this in the mail today. I did a little book dance at the mailbox. I love getting books in the mail.

I have two other bookrings in front of this - but, I will get to this as soon as possible.

I had forgotten about signing up for this one, I almost turned it away - but, I'm glad I did not. It looks like a quick read.

A very enjoyable quick read. You are supposed to be at peace in heaven, what better way to achieve that peace then to have your life explained. I look forward to my five people.

This was made into a TV movie a few months ago. That is why I signed up for this book. Usually the book includes a whole lot more than the movie. In this case the TV movie followed the book verbatim. But, still an enjoyable read. I am happy that the authors choose not to preach to you.

I would recommend the movie or the book.

I plan on sending it on it's way in tomorrows mail.
