Mailed today to Norway

Journal Entry 9 by wingHaugtussawing from Stavanger, Rogaland fylke Norway on Monday, August 13, 2007
The book arrived today. I''ll get started straight away.

Journal Entry 10 by wingHaugtussawing from Stavanger, Rogaland fylke Norway on Friday, August 17, 2007
I''ve read a lot of Maya Angelou this summer, and I''ve really enjoyed her wisdom! I atually prefer this book to Wouldn''t take nothing for My Journey Now because the essays are longer and therefore she dvelves more over the topics.

It is a bit sad that this is part of a bookring, as it is a book that I would love to go back to and read bits and pieces from over time. But then again I''m happy that it is a bookring so that more people can enjoy the wisdom og her writing.

I''ll get the book sent on as soon as I have Cross-patch''s address.

Journal Entry 11 by wingHaugtussawing from Stavanger, Rogaland fylke Norway on Saturday, August 18, 2007
The book is off to Cross-patch today! Happy travels.

Journal Entry 12 by wingCross-patchwing from Leicester, Leicestershire United Kingdom on Tuesday, August 21, 2007
The book arrived this morning, thank you Haugtussa - wasn't that quick! I've enjoyed reading the Maya Angelou books you've been ringing, MieLH, thenk you very much.

Journal Entry 13 by wingCross-patchwing from Leicester, Leicestershire United Kingdom on Thursday, September 27, 2007
I agree with Haugtussa, this is definitely a book to dip in and out of and to refer to again and again. Simple wisdom at its best.

I am awaiting jubby's address.

Journal Entry 14 by jubby from Sydney CBD, New South Wales Australia on Tuesday, October 9, 2007
Yay! Look what arrived in today's post.

And, I thought I might mention that I was at a book sale yesterday, and I picked up a copy of 'All God's children need traveling shoes'.

Now, would anyone be interested in that book?

Journal Entry 15 by jubby from Sydney CBD, New South Wales Australia on Monday, October 29, 2007
Oh dear!

I have been slow of late... Normally, I would just gobble up a book like this and have it in the post after a few days, but it was just nut meant to be this month.

Slow as it was, I did read this book, and enjoyed it. Short, snappy passages on various issues and topics.

I particularly liked the last two. And the one on poverty was very good too. Her advice is homely and sound, and you just want to squeeze her hand.

But, the essay on ex-husband the builder, who had also been married to Germaine Greer had me googling. Who could this man be? Do you think Paul Du Feu? I couldn't find a picture of him though...

Anyway, great book.

Now, I've sent a couple of PMs to Congestedchi and have not heard back. And, for some strange reason I can't sign into www.rabck.com at the moment, so can't check to see if her details are in there.

So, I PMed Kobe03 this morning.

Just waiting now to see who contacts me first for this book to continue its travels.

Thanks for sharing this book with me MieLH.

Journal Entry 27 by MieLH from Odense, Fyns Amt Denmark on Tuesday, March 31, 2009
This book never made it to Timber77. Possibly it'll turn up some day, but for now we've decided to consider it lost. Timber77 has been kind enough to get hold of another copy, so that the ray I started can finish :) The link is here: replacement copy.

Thank you Timber77. And thank you everyone for playing along. It's been a lot of fun to see the book travel :)
