Japanese Style Postcards
3 journalers for this copy...
am going to include this as a surprise in a garden postcard ray. if you get this book, take as many cards as you like - when it's gone, it's gone!
The short intro compared Japanese style to the Bauhaus -- no wonder it appeals to me!
I have taken two postcards from this book and will pass the rest along. Like I said in my journal entry for the Japanese Gardens book, whenever I can set the cards on a scanner, I'll upload pictures so everyone else can see what they look like.
The one I liked best was "Sunlight creates a dramatic pattern on an atrium wall of a modern house." It has an angle that's a mystery to me -- either it's a diagonal gap in the wall, a mirror, or an optical illusion. I'm determined to figure it out!
My son was looking through this book and asked for the only card that I thought was atrocious! ("Robots are part of Teruhisa Kitahara's extraordinary collection of mechanical toys.") Check back eventually for the photo and you'll get a big laugh out of those B-movie style robots.
