Not so much a story, rather a series of Match reports from the year that Ipswich qualified for the Champions League and Ireland qualified for the World Cup. Would have liked a fuller picture of Matt Holland. Actually got more of an insight into him from Paul Howard's book "The Gaffers" than I did from Matt's own book.

Well, it looks like another soccer (sorry! football!) book registered by nut has made its way to me! Thank you gizmopuddy so much for sending this along!

I've been contemplating buying this off eBay, but just couldn't justify spending $30 for it. This is the ONLY copy on bookcrossing! I'm a lucky girl that its made its way to me :)

This book was quite visually pleasing - good layout, nice pictures. But it probably would have benefited from another run through the editor (line breaks where they shouldn't be, pictures overlapping text). It captured a season of the Champions League, and some Ireland games. I agree with gizmopuddy in that it would have been nice to get more on the man behind the game. Some of what Holland had to say was interesting though, some quirky little stories.

Thank you so much.
My daughter will be thrilled with this diary type book. She is a huge soccer fan and a major fan of the UEFA cup.
She watches all the games on TV that she can and follows the tournaments from around the world.
