I'm somewhere in the middle of this book, enjoying it tremendously, even if it is taking me forever to slog through. I'm determined I'm going to make it though. Just read the authors interesting thoughts about how seemingly perfect parents always seem to produce screwed up kids (p1050). Food for thought.
(For those who haven't read the book, p1050 isn't the middle of the book- it is the middle of the (rather extensive) footnotes.)

I finished this book last night, and the first thing I wanted to do was turn back the the beginning. It took me almost six months of on and off reading, but I feel better for the journey. I felt a little dissoriented with end of the book. There is nothing that would traditionally be construed as an ending, so that came as something of a shock to my sysemt. I am still profoundly glad I read this book- I feel like I learned so much about how others might feel. This book has given me so much to think about. I'll pass it off to someone else, but hopefully I'll come across another copy in the future- rereading it will no doubt give me more wisdom and perspective.
