I was captivated by the description of this book on the back. The idea of a guy who could suddenly heal and bring people back to life was intriguing. I have to say that it was pretty interesting, but the back of the book description gives too much away. There were things that happened that would have been more supsenseful if I had not read the back. I was very caught up in the storyline and action, but the love story between the senator and the doctor was soooo cheesey. It was like they tried to slip a romance novel into this great suspense book in places. It was important to the plot to establish their love for each other, but I just wasn't into the way it was done. Also, two plot lines were wrapped up a little too quickly and neatly at the end. It was like the author felt he finished the book after some big drama and lost interest in his plot. Overall, I think it was a good book that kept me up night reading much longer than I should have been to find out what would happen next. I think the idea behind it was terrific, but the execution of that idea ended up only good. Thanks for leaving this at the post office this PepperVL. I usually don't hang on to wild catches that long, but be assured it will be moving on soon. |
