I first read this book as required reading for an online literature course. I loved it. I have read this book outloud, marked in it with green highlighter and black ink, gotten the pages dirty from reading under a maple tree with my horses, et cetera. I have loved this book well, and it's kinda hard for me to part with it. My only consolation is that whoever recieves this next will love and enjoy this tale of honor and hope as well as I have!

I've read and reread this book several times. It is a true classic.
