Received in the mail as a trade from teal604.

It looks like such a good read, I can't wait to get into it...thankx!

I will send your books A.S.A.P.!

Glad to see you eventually received your books safe and sound - I sent them before Xmas!

I read this book ages ago, and was reading it to my husband, but now he is too busy so he Ok'd me to send it on, so I'm sending it as a trade to Littlemave...enjoy!

By the way - about the book - I enjoyed all the little pictures and the way he thought, moreso than the actual story lol, though it is a bit of a heart tugger when his father has to admit some stuff to him.

I had loaned this book to 'mandyjoy' along with a pile of others and only recently received it back. I have wanted to read this for a while. I had no idea of the subject matter, nor story, but was pleasantly surprised. It is, if you like, a detective story after a fashion!
I found it very interesting to learn how autism affects a person and found all the peculiarities well explained. I found the pictures pretty cool too. It is a very ordered brain (it seems) which suffers from this unfortunate 'illness'.
Very good, would recommend it.
cheers all.

Wow what a great book. A great insight into an autistic child's mind.
I work with special needs children so I found alot I could relate too. I found myself chuckling at many things he did and said and picturing some of the kids that I work with saying and doing the same.
Thanks for sharing this book.
Will send onto juli2007 when I get her details.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a unique glimpse into the mind of an autistic child. His single-minded attempt to 'detect' who killed his neighbour's beloved dog is both logical and inspiring. Some parts of the story are very sad, others are amusing, and little pictures throughout the book give a small insight into how this boys mind works. This is one book that ought to be on everyone's reading list.

I'm going to keep this book for a short while longer so my daughter can read it.
