I've read 'Stones from the River' and 'The Vision of Emma Blau'...looking forward to reading this book. Nice cover.

Thanks for this book!
I've started reading it today, in school and until now it's great! I've also read Stones from the River a month ago (part of another bookring:)) so I expect to enjoy this sequel.

I did find this book so good that I couldn't stop reading it until I got to the end...But I think it was a good thing to have read Stones from The River before as I knew most of the characters and it was nice to see them from another perspective (although I did miss Trudi comments:))

I meant to make a journal entry after sending the book to blaisezabini12 and never got round to it.

I found it to be a good read,I liked most of the short stories which make up the novel. Some were more sad and emotional than others.

I look forward to reading more of Ursula Hegi's books.

Thanks Jamesmum once again for making the book available!

I shall be looking out for Stones from the River now that I've read this, although I know that's the wrong order :). These gentle stories are very evocative of post-WW2 Germany, something you don't get to read about often. Thanks to all, PMing KFCamper now

Sent to KFCamper today 4th May.

Got it today from Italy--Back in the US of A. I read the first couple of pages while sitting here at the computer and I can tell that it is going to be great--thanks to all of you who are passing it on!

I very much enjoyed the stories in this book. Since I have read Stones from the River I really liked the further information about Trudy that comes from a different perspective. I think I'm going to have to get one of these for my permanent collection!

I'm contacting Jamesmum so that the book can go home now! Thanks for sharing such a memorable book.
