So far I've read about Woodrow Wilson and Helen Keller. Did you know that Helen Keller was a socialist? That she was an advocate fro women's suffrage and marched and protested with other suffragests? That she help found the ACLU? I didn't! Did you know that the US invaded Nicaragua 13 TIMES when Wilson was in office? I certainly didn't!

I really liked the beginning paragraphs and how Loewen talked about how American History textbooks tend to make heroes out of America's past presidents and famous people. At the moment I'm reading about Christopher Columbus and the impact his "discovery" made on native peoples. Truely horrifying and informative.
