Das Silmarillion umfasst die Entstehungsgeschichte von Mittelerde und auch die bekanntesten Sagen.
Die Geschichte der Kinder Hurins ist wohl die beste, dramatischste Geschichte die ich je gelesen habe.

Wer den Herr der Ringe mag, wird dieses Buch noch viel besser finden.
