Bought after hearing the author reading some extracts on BBC Radio 4. Sounded like it was something I'd enjoy.

And enjoy it I did! Beautifully written, but ultimately I found it sad. I'm not sure why, as Jane Juska obviously had *some* fun finding out that she was neither on the shelf, nor unnatractive, but perhaps because she had to advertise those facts? I'm interested to see how a woman responds to this book, though in this case one that is considerably younger than the author, so off to PurpleRosebud it goes!

Thanks for sending me this book Netstation. Can't wait to get reading!

This is the first book I have read since joining Bookcrossing and I did enjoy it. There was a lot more of her life story than the front cover suggested. I thought parts of it were sad but it also had humour and some sexy bits.

I will be keeping this book for a while for a friend who has no internet access and can't join bookcrossing. As she is a little older than Jane Juska it will be interesting to hear her views on the book. After that it will be availabe for anyone who would like to read it.

This book has now returned to me and is available for anyone who fancies reading it. It is a good read and I think it would appeal to a lot of people. I will be keeping it in my availables for a while until the time comes for me to release it into the wild.

This arrived this morning & surprised me in more way than one...

I'm waiting for a copy of this to arrive from Annodyne as a trade so imagine my surprise when I input the BCID & found it's a surprise RABCK from AngelChild!

Well, you can't have too much of a good thing I always say & when I've read a copy I'll have two to share!

So thank you for this AngelChild & an even bigger THANK YOU because if I'd never read the interview you did for The Daily Mail's "Weekend" magazine I would never have discovered the wonderful world that is BookCrossing!

Before I turn 67-next March-I would like to have a lot of sex with a man I like.
If you want to talk first, Trollope works for me

The advert that started it-a woman knew what she wanted, went for it & then had the guts to tell the world about it....I like her!

Juska's writing style is amusing & interesting to read although once or twice I felt she left things incomplete (why did her cuticles bleed?).
Despite that,I really enjoyed this book but I have to admit once or twice I thought...no, she didn't.. but she's my mothers age!!!

I've had a look at other journal comments about this book & everyone seems to admire what she did.... but if that advert had started "Before I turn 27 -next March- I would like to have a lot of sex with a man I like...." don't you think we might have had a completely different attitude to the writer?

Thanks so much for this surprise RABCK Angelchild it's been much appreciated. It will travel again shortly, just need to find it a new home....
