A short but interesting read. It was amazingly refreshing to read a book geared towards "Christians" that tells us of the importance of tackling loneliness with both psychological and spiritual weapons. The author points out and reminds one of the importance of a strong and positive self-steem, and the need for counseling (in profound cases) to help alliviate one's pain. I mostly enjoyed the poem quotes peppered throughout its pages.

"No man is an island entire of itself; every man is
a piece of the continent, a part of the main....
Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved
in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

                                                      --John Donne

I caught the book a few days ago when I stopped at the Post Office at the airport to mail a package at midnight. I live in Makakilo. It's a great little book. It brought me back to times in my life when loneliness started to overwhelm me, but my relationship with Jesus helped me through.
