This title always pops to mind as a good book to read for a bedtime story. Nonsensical but fun characters to be introduced inside. :)

The book description from Amazon:
Alice falls down a rabbit hole, changes size unexpectedly, attends a tea party given by a March Hare, visits a garden of talking flowers, and acts as witness at the trial of a thief who has stolen some tarts. Along the way, she meets such unforgettable characters as the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Mock Turtle, the autocratic Red Queen, and other fanciful folk.

Cover's different. Second-hand book, but still in good condition.

Really loved this book. Very funny and beautifully written. also discovered how the band the Mock Turtles got their name (!). never read before so was a real page-turner and i'd say this is a book as much for adults as children. read it in a day! could've done without the christian literature leaflet tucked away near the back of the book, very unpleasant to find after having religion basically forced on me as a kid - however, this has now been replaced with an arty postcard which should offend no-one.

Caught this at the last London meet up and read it over two days on my commute. I haven't read it since I was little and it was just as strange as I remember. I loved the illustrations too. Will re-release it again shortly.
