Arrived in the mail while I was out of town on business. This will go near the top of TBR, as I've promised some of my friends over the pond that I'd ring it for them.

Have no idea why my journal is above DIGDI's, but I really did get it the free way via the BXing link!

I'm sorry, but I just can't finish this book! I tried and tried, and every time I pick it up, I start falling asleep! My major comments on this book are boiled down in this forum post. Basically, I agree with the premise and don't need to be convinced. And this book was just too dry for me to finish :(

It would probably be a great book to read in a work setting, followed by a discussion with colleagues. Perhaps this is the type of thing that should be recommended to HR staff people, who could in turn pass it on to corporate employees.

Either way, I'm grateful for the opportunity to read this book, and really glad that I can share it with some international friends. Off to DameBlanche in the mail today! Travel well, little book!

I am happy to receive "Somebodies and Nobodies" as a member of the international bookring started by antof9.

I just started reading, but as far as I can see, "Somebodies and Nobodies" will become one of the very important books of my life...

Thank you for the bookring, antof9! Also thank you for the fantastic postcard accompaning the book. There must really be some Paradise areas over in Colorado...

Yes, it is really an important book pleading that your fundamental dignity derives just from the fact that you are a human being... Rank, honour and authority earned by your professional skills and achievements are nice, too, but second and additionally and should be limited to the field they were earned in - otherwise, you are in danger of abusing other people's rights... Fullers book is a secular lecture about the Golden Rule: What you want others (not) to do to you, do (not) yourself to them!

An interesting book but for me it was difficult to read.
Tomorrow it goes via snailmail to Jonkheer.
