Journal Entry 1 by jaenelle from Alta Vista, Kansas USA on Monday, October 04, 2004
**BOOKRING STARTED 10-13-2004** One of my favorite books! A bookring has started with this book and the list is now CLOSED. Order: jaenelle (mailed to tyvmdear 10-13-04) to tyvmdear to Bunnybee (int'l) to Heaven150 (int'l) to charmedwitch23 to Loopylou127/floppsie to Biffin44 (int'l but prefers Europe) to Luz-de-Luna (int'l) to AngelfireStar to Saphyre (US only) to jaenelle **BOOKRING RULES** Please PM me if you have any questions or would like to be rearranged on the list. I tried to put everyone according to their mailing preferences but if something is amiss just let me know. Please PM the person after you on the list when you are done with, or nearly done with, the book, to get their mailing address. If you can't get ahold of them after a few tries please PM me and I'll move them down on the list. You can then PM the next person after them on the list. Please journal the book both when you receive and when you send it on. Feel free also to record any thoughts about the book in this journal. Please keep the book as long as you need it, but try to pass it along as soon as you can when you're done with it. This way no one has to hurry to read it but it won't sit around between readers either. If you want to be removed from the list or moved down on the list, please PM me and I'll rearrange. I know things happen and we get busy, and if you honestly don't have time for the book when it comes your turn, please let me know. Finally, if there's anything I haven't addressed, please let me know. This is my first bookring and I'm still learning how to do it.

Journal Entry 3 by tyvmdear from Thompson, Manitoba Canada on Friday, October 29, 2004
What a great story. Ok I read this a lot faster than I thought I would be able to but I just couldn't put it down. I have seem the movie a number of times but it does not do justice to the book. The characters are written perfectly and so vivid. The adventures jump off the page and pull you right in. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I will get in the mail as soon as I get Bunnybee's address.

Journal Entry 6 by Bunnybee from Amarillo, Texas USA on Saturday, November 27, 2004
This is the most delightful story! I just finished it last night, and I really enjoyed the bit of escape I had each day from travelling through Fantastica with Bastian, Atreyu, Falkor and the others. Like I said in my other journal entry, I have seen the movie, but never read the book. And the movie was SO long ago that I didn't even remember much of what happened- so now it was like reading a totally new story with this book- and I loved it! I will have to find a copy to PC for my boys- I know they will love reading it also, once they are old enough. :-) Oh- and was I the only one who just didn't catch that the starting word from each chapter was in alphabetical order? I looked at all the artwork with each 'plate' and enjoyed them all along the way- but it wasn't until I got to "Y" and then "Z" that I realized they followed the ABCs! Maybe it was because I read a little each day and the letters just didn't match up in any way in my head until I went through the last 2 chapters really quickly and the letters finally registered. Anyway, now I'd love to find a copy where the plate artwork is in color- I think that would be exquisite! Anyway, I already have Heaven150's address, and will get this book on its way after the weekend. Thank you jaenelle for sharing this wonderful book with us! I'd recommend it highly to any age reader. :-)

Wow. I have finally finished this book, I thought it would never end...ha ha ha. Sorry it took so long. I loved this book. The first movie has been one of my all time favs forever. Although the wolf still scares me really bad. I cant look at it. I cant wait to get the box set of the trillogy on dvd. The book was great though. The first 2/3 was basically what was covered in the 1st movie albeit a bit differently, so I had those images in my head. The last third was new to me so did the imagining myself, which was nice too. Its one of those read the book b4 or after seeing the movie things, but for me this book was both. As a die hard fan I highly recomend this book to everyone. One interesting point though, I found the book much less scary than the movie. The suspense wasnt built up as much. It was a bit tamer and probably more suitable for children (although its definately not jut a children's book!) but the movie I thought was a bit too scarey for kids. Well, thats my 2 cents. Thankyou to all above me and especially to Jaenelle for starting this ring. Cheers, Charmedwitch23 I have PMed Loopylou for address.

I'm unhappy to report that this book appears to be totally stuck with loopylou127. I've PMed her repeatedly with no response. This book has been sent to the lovely people at lostbookisland. Maybe it will get moved out of loopylou127's hands somehow -- I'm still hopeful for another journal entry someday. Goodbye, little book. You were a good friend.

Journal Entry 15 by lostbookisland on Tuesday, March 13, 2007

This book has washed ashore at the Lost Book Island after not being heard from for many months. This new arrival will be shown to a room and be allowed a bit of rest before being introduced to the many fun things to do here at the island. All around there are books sipping cool drinks under shady palms while other books participate in a wide variety of beach sports. There is plenty of sand, surf and sun here for all of the lost and wayward books to enjoy. It is hoped that very soon a new journal entry will come to rescue this book from the island and send it back out into the BookCrossing world so that it may continue on its journey. It is hoped that the new journal entry will tell all the interested parties where this book has been this long time and where it will be traveling to next.
