Irving is one of my favorite authors, and this is one of his best. I haven't seen the movie, but I'm sure the book is much, much better. How could you not love a book in which the family has a pet bear?

We're back and we've had a very nice trip :)

Despite knowing that I'd be reading about some harder topics, I truly enjoyed this book. John Irving can create such an engaging and eventful story that I find it hard to stop reading!

I'll keep on looking for more books from this writer! And this one will soon go to meet Antigone1.
