I've read and adored another of his books (Dress your children in denim and corduroy).
I am sure that this one will be equally entertaining.

Oh David Sedaris - we are not worthy!
Another brilliant read from the master of wordsmithing. I love his self-deprecating sense of humour, and his sister and father...well they are both absolutely hilarious!
David's deft use of the English language--juxtaposing words, phrases and descriptors into a new kind of harmony--is enviable. My favourite sentence in the book was "The artworld was our conceptual oyster and we ate it raw".
There were some flat patches but I guess you have to have the lows to appreciate the highs.
I'm passing this onto another BCer who I think will enjoy it.
Highly recommended. Just as good as Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.
Pictured here is the genius himself.

Released on Friday, November 12, 2004 at about 7:00:00 PM BX time (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) at Controlled release in Marrickville, New South Wales Australia.
RELEASE NOTES:
Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I had to use all my self control to stop rolling on the floor laughing and waking up the baby.
What a hoot! (re: US readers should note that the word "hoot" used in the Australian vernacular bears no relation to the slang "hooters" although my baby wouldn't mind the latter)
Passed this back to AugustusGloop for release at a book crossing meet.
