The Wheel of Time started out as a very promising series. As each book progressed, however, they became more and more long winded and uninspired. After book 6, although had 7 and 8 already purchased, I could no longer stomach them, and in fact, the latter books had effectively ruined the earlier books. And so I release them. Maybe someone else will like them. I think I'll re-read Gene Wolfe.

Wow! I received the two books in the mail today and I'm overjoyed. Thank you so much, thank you so much *lots and lots of hugs* :D Kind people like you, wow... Thanks again for sharing, I've already started on Eye of the World and looking forward to it. Do you have a wishlist? The one on your bookshelf lists only 4 German books, if you will like to read any English book then please let me know.

I hope you will not mind, I'm removing the BC label from the inside cover because it's a very beautiful map and I find myself referring back to the map every few pages when reading this type of fantasy. I will tape it back on where it won't obstruct content.

An outstanding piece of Fantasy!

I finished this book alarmingly fast for my contemporary standard. It's a better book than the first, more immersive and absorbing. Though the flaw f anti-climatic ending found in the first book is still there, it's lessened somewhat. An enjoyable read.
