Lyttletonwitch gave me this book at tonight's meetup. Hmmm, book with the word "cat" in the title... I wonder why she thought I might like it? ;-)

I feel cheated! The cat didn't show up until the last chapter!!! It's false advertising, I tell you! ;-)

A pretty predictable story about a small town with a dark secret. It would probably be scarier if the main character didn't seem so wet - I just couldn't get particularly involved in what was happening to her. And the ending was way too simple (as is often the case in this sort of book) - it felt like the author was running out of word limit and just wanted to wrap everything up as quickly as possible.

But an ok read if you just want something quick and non-brain-engaging.
