I really tried to like this book. I read about 80 pages of it and just had to give up. I can't decide if a better title for this would be "Justice for the Rich and Famous (and semi-famous)" or "Who do I know that knows So-and-So" The author is an ex Hollywold film director, who's daughter (played the older daughter in Poltergeist) was murdered. The first chapter is about that murder and trial. Was actually an interesting story, when I managed to ignore all the name-dropping. I was doing my best (despite the fact that I found it very annoying) when he actually mentioned what famous people his daughter is buried near! Geez!!!!
Still I pushed on. More name dropping. By the third story, I was 10 pages into the chapter before I can even guess at the fact that the guy was going to trial for attempting to murder his wife (that much was clear from the beginning) by insulin injection. The rest of the chapter was devoted to meetings the author had with the multi-millionare, talks he had with a senator and others, and various parties and such the murderer had and who was there and....well you get the idea. When he mentioned who the godparents of the murderer's daughter were, I finally threw down the book in disgust. I wanted to read a book about justice, not "Who's Who"

I agree with RedDragonLady: too much high-society goings-on and name-dropping. I prefer "Just the facts, m'am."
