This timeless sci-fi classic is a great read. What impressed me was the prophetic look on the evolution of North-American society, particularly with regards to the inadequacy of the judicial system, as expressed by Mr. Dubois.

I found this book today at the Second Cup coffee shop at Lonsdale and 15th in North Vancouver. It was the oddest coffee break that I've had. First, the woman at the counter and the customer ahead of me were having a very abrasive interaction with only a few words spoken. One of those immediately tense situations. I sat down to read my book and drink my coffee and for a few minutes forget work. I was so tired and still 4 hours of work to go so, I decided to get another cup "to go". At the counter, I glanced beside me and I saw this book perched ever so delicately on the counter with a post-it note on the front saying "Free book, Look inside the front cover." I knew immediately it was a book crossing book. I had heard about book crossings from my friend Steve. I was immediately excited and thought that I found a real treasure. The note was speaking just to me. I felt like I didn't need my coffee "to go"...just finding the book gave me such a charge of energy. I can't wait to read it and pass it on (even though it doesn't look like a book that I would naturally select...I feel like it selected me). As corny as it sounds, the book made me feel special. Thank you to whoever sent it.
