This was waiting in my mailbox today, complete with a snazzy official BookCrossing bookmark! Thanks, SandDanz! :)
This was great! It was very fast-paced, and I had a fun time reading it--and I finished in about 24 hours! Not that it's short--I just got totally sucked in. I liked that this dealt with smart-sounding concepts without dumbing down to the reader, and was still easy to follow. Overall I feel like I just went to see a summer blockbuster movie!
There was one plot development about 3/4 of the way through that I didn't like--I just couldn't help but think, "oh, things were going so well and now we run into this old cliche?"--but I still ended up enjoying the book so much that I just had to forgive it that one mistake. ;) I checked out some of the reviews over on amazon.com out of curiosity. Two of the complaints I saw mentioned were that the techincal computer stuff in the story wasn't completely accurate (I don't know enough about it to have noticed, so it didn't bother me a bit!), and that there wasn't much character development. Well, that's true, but since it was so action-oriented, it didn't seem like anything was missing. Summer blockbusters tend to be more fun than deep, anyway!
This was my first Dan Brown novel (first one he wrote, too!), and now I'm excited to check out his others!

Mailing to Saphyre this morning. This seems to be one of those books everyone either loves or hates. I thought it was a blast, and I hope you like it too! Happy reading!
Thanks so much! I really look forward to another Dan Brown novel.
I was able to get another copy of this book and I am passing this copy on to fulfill a holiday wish! I hope you enjoy this.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I can't wait to read this.
I liked this book quite a bit. Not one of my favorite Dan Brown books but it's up there. I like the way he takes real things you really don't know much about (like cryptography) and makes it into a story while you learn about it. Going to release it for someone else to enjoy.
