This book was about a woman named Nan who leaves behind her husband and daughter to take a journey and find herself. The book alternates between her journal entries and letters to her husband. It was beautifully written and simple to read. I enjoyed reading it.
Offering on the book relay.

THANK YOU for this book! I'm using it to replace my bookring that seems to have been lost in the mail!

List of members:

Rubi-J ---> Utah, USA ---> Book is Enroute!
MommyMace ---> Washington
andthings ---> UK
fayking ---> UK
Mamikaem ---> Missouri, USA
WarEagle78 - Alabama, USA
EDDI ---> Australia
succulent ---> Australia
vicki9170 ---> Florida, USA
Rayma ---> New Jersey, USA
The book will end with nzgoddess in New Zeland for her womans group libary.

I am currently still accepting new members, they will be added to the END of this list so none of you will 'loose your place' so to speak. If someone drops out, yall will move up - I will not move someone else up in their place.

As a member, you will receive the book from the person listed before you. When you receive the book, please make a journal entry at BookCrossing stating that you've received it and read it as soon as you can (don't rush, just be reasonable about the length of time). I suggest that you PM the next person on the list to request their address so you can send it as soon as you're finished and not have to wait for their address. If you don't hear from them within a weeks time, two PM's, AND you're finished reading the book, please move on to the next person on the list - PM me and let me know. After you've read the book, please journal again at BookCrossing with your comments . I'll make a final loop back for anyone who misses out due to holidays, etc, but I'd like to keep the book travelling reasonably quickly. Mailing the book by media mail is the least expensive way (or surface mail if it's sent overseas).

If any questions come up, please send a PM to me.
If there is no one on the list after you, please return the book to me. I will send the book out again if I get more participants.

Please remember that there's a list of readers patiently waiting to read the book after you. With that in mind, I would ask that you try to get it back on the road again within a couple of weeks of receiving it. If your turn is approaching and you find that you've overextended yourself with rings and/or rays, drop me a line and we'll work something out.

Many thanks for your co-operation, and I hope everyone enjoys this bookring!

Jeez....I hate to be negative on a bookring, but..... I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with this book. I have really enjoyed Elizabeth Berg in the past, and the premise of this book sounded interesting to me: a woman turning 50 escapes her life for a solo trip to discover herself. But actually, it was too simplistic and far-fetched for me.... I can't see anyone just taking off from their life, husband, family; meandering around aimlessly, to experience a ephiphany and suddenly accepting middle age.... Really... The people she meets and the way she meets them also seemed a bit far fetched....

Sometimes she had some very poignant things to say -- especially about her daughter, and being a mother. But all-in-all, I wouldn't recommend this one to my friends.

Thank you for including me on this ring. I will PM the next person!

I heard from Mommamace regarding this ray - she did mail it out in early December. Still waiting for a reply from andthings as two of my rings/rays are stalled with them.

Mamikaem was so kind to offer her copy of this book for this stalled bookring. The new BCID is #131-2544733. Thank you so much Mamikaem for your kindness!

Took this copy out of the andthings Chicklit Bookbox. I see it was supposed to be a Bookring though so will PM DSM to see if she still needs it for the ring.
