Liz Curtis Higgs has a unique writing style and she brings these bad girls of the Bible to life where you can identify with them. I started this book in a bible study and didn't get to finish the bible study and I still have to finish the book.

I just finished reading this great book. What can I say? Higgs has done it again...great insights into the lives of these Biblical women.

Will reserve for my Christian Lit. Bookbox.

I've read about three "bad girls" so far and this book is really interesting. I wasn't too crazy about Higgs' habit of writing "modern versions" of the women but I think it is really helping my understanding of the story. It really is well-suited to a Bible Study group environment.

The chatty, casual style Higgs writes with isn't quite my thing - I'm more of a textbook reader kind of girl - but she brought my attention to many of the women of the Bible I never gave more than a few seconds' thought. Nameless women, like Potiphar's wife, were given a chance to have more of their stories shared. Like I said in my last entry, great book for a Bible study, or teenagers.
