From Alibris synopsis

A man attends his own funeral then flees to Brazil with $90 million, where he lives happily ever after with Eva Miranda, a sexy lawyer who keeps his money safe and untraceable. For four years, Patrick Lanigan lives this fairytale life until bounty hunter Jack Stephano tracks him down and holds him hostage, waiting for Lanigan to divulge the location of the money. But the truth is that Lanigan really doesn't know. Eva Miranda has been shuttling the money from back to bank: When Lanigan doesn't call her at their daily arranged time, she alerts the F.B.I. and disappears. It's time for Lanigan to pay the piper, but which one? How much? And where is that $90 million anyway?

Just finished reading this one. Man, what a great book. I like Grisham and his plots excel. This one had me twisting every which way. And the hero is lovable . . . and the ending - well read it for yourself. Excellent.

(Different cover than pictured)

Caught for the m-bag going to our friends in New Zealand.

Is it possible I've come across a Grisham that I haven't read yet?! hmmmm. . . *another* book I want to read before it goes in the bag!

I read a Grisham - The Runaway Jury - all the way through the convention when i really should have been working. His books are gripping, and I'm not letting any more go until they are read by me.

Oh yeah. I picked this out of hundreds at the 2006 Dunedin Convention where I had an absolutely marvellous time.

Who knows where it will turn up? Watch this space!

I can see that I'm going to have to read all the rest of the Grisham books. I think some of his premises are a little wild, but he knows how to spin a good yarn.

I enjoyed this far too much!

Not sure where this one's going. Stay tuned.

*Australia to Japan via Air Skyring*

So this morning as he's packing to go, Skyring says "I really hoped you'd take more books"

Now I'd been trying to be good and not snaffle all the books he brought.

Net result: I have 20ish new books and my flatmates have a few as well.

We've got a small Grisham library in the flat. This will join the others, it's in quite good shape for the bouncing around the world it's been doing!
